Australia is a country with a clear reputation for having excellent beaches, and anybody that is spending a little time around Sydney would be smart to check out Bondi Beach, one of the finest beaches in the vicinity. Situated in the city’s Eastern Suburbs, it’s a tiny community with an excellent beachfront only 7 kilometers from the heart of downtown and happens to be the nearest beach to the center of Sydney.

Bondi Beach is a pleasantly varied place, dominated by a trendy air that the various chic resorts and retreats exude yet which is juxtaposed against the eccentric and unique style of the town’s many visitors and residents. The heart of town is comprised of the kilometer-long beach that is accompanied by a nice oceanfront walkway coasted by several parks and green patches a little farther from the shore that give Bondi Beach that much more outdoor recreational potential.

There are a few world recognized establishments in town that give it an air of distinction, such as the Bondi Icebergs Club as well as the Bondi Surf Bathers’ Life Saving Club. Several annual festivities and events take place in Bondi Beach that liven things up, from the City to Surf Fun Run held every August to the Flickerfest international film festival (perhaps the best in Australia) held in January, or World Environment Day festival held in June. Every weekend the town gets a little livelier with the local Bondi Beach Market being set up on Sundays; then again, the Bondi Pavilion Community Centre has almost always got some other cultural goings on to offer, and all you need to do is stop by and inquire to find out.

The headlands towards the northern part of town present the opportunity to take a look at some pre-historic Aboriginal rock engravings and paintings; located on what is now a Sydney golf course, they provide an excellent excuse to pause the game between holes and check out unique local cultural heritage.

At the heart of Bondi Beach and hugging the shore visitors will stumble upon Campbell Parade, which is the central avenue along which most bars, cafes and shops are to be found. Along the northern section of the road you can check out one of the local marketplaces and get your hands on a few delightful souvenirs at an equally delightful price.

Most people don’t come to Bondi Beach without making the best of the coastal walkway that links the town with Coogee a little farther south. It’s a chance to do a little walking, jogging or biking on a gorgeous oceanside pathway that visitors will never forget and which locals absolutely adore as well. The path takes approximately a little over two hours to walk without much stopping, but most people turn it into a much longer affair and make the most of the several interesting stops along the way. In addition to plenty of cafes and places to get some food or drink and freshen up, there’s the chance to stop for a little snorkeling at Gordon’s Bay or to see the final resting place of some of Austalia’s eminent historical figures (as well as spectacular ocean views) at Waverley Cemetery. All in all, it’s more than worth the effort to experience.

There are plenty of Sydney accommodation options to be come across in and around Bondi Beach, from the Bondi Beachhouse YHA and the Bondi Sands (more for the budget traveler) to the Bondi Cottage and Bondi Beach Garden Cottage (for a little more comfort) and much more.

If you are planning to visit Sydney, visit us to find some great Sydney Accommodation.

Marmaris is one of the biggest cities in the whole country of Turkey. It was previously known as Physkos located where Aegean and Mediterranean seas meet, on the largest natural harbour of the world. It lies in the Mugla Province, Southwest Turkey surrounded by pine-clad hills, calming sea and captivating bays. Gokova Gulf is found in its north, Mediterranean in the south, Datca Peninsula in the west, and Koycegiz Lake in the east. With its magnificent beauty, it offers the biggest tourist resort in Turkey.

Tourism is the main business of the city and during peak season, it houses as much as 400,000 tourists. It has the best sailing, not just for the whole Turkey but for the entire Mediterranean. It all began spreading as a beautiful place along the shore around the castle hill as a fishing village until it became whole year round home of many tourists and foreigners. During winter, the city population is about 15,000 which rise to 75,000 during summer.

The weather in Marmaris is very great ranging from 12 degrees to its hottest 32 degrees; with 15-17 degrees on the average. The climate is oftentimes sunny and warm; at times cloudy, occasional sunny or occasional rainy. Have great time with their sand statues and castles, open air concerts, night shows, and other activities. Enjoy the holidays and festivals in the city such as: Marmaris Youth and Spring Festival during 8th to 13th of May, Marmaris International Yacht Festival during mid of May, and Marmaris International Regata during last week of October to first week of November.

The people can enjoy good health care benefits whenever they need as the city government provides modern hospitals and clinic services. Enjoy the delicious food and taste Masmaris with their class restaurants such as Ali Bey Restaurant, Atlantis Restaurant, Caglayan Restaurant and a lot more. Mostly, food is made up of fresh fruits, beefs, pasta, kebab, steaks, pies and others. You can eat almost all your favorite cuisines and meals there.

Staying in Marmaris is very convenient because there are a lot of accommodations there which you can choose from. It varies from elegant resort hotels, traditional housing, vacation villas, lodging inns, modern apartments, or bed and breakfasts. Most of the hotels and other accommodations are friendly and offers high quality service, comfort stay, value for money package, great discounts and safe bookings which will make your stay a truly memorable one.

There are a lot of beautiful and scenic spots for sightseeing in Marmaris. Have a historical tour in Ephesus, Pamukkale, Caunos, Dalyan and KayaVillage. You may also have a fantastic Greek excursion, that is, visit Greece while you are spending a holiday in Turkey! You may also indulge in fun activities such as scuba diving, rafting, jeep safari, or paragliding or boat trips to Turunc, Ciftlik Bayir and Cleopatra Sedir Island. Definitely, don’t leave Marmaris without having seen the magnificent sites of Gunnucek Picnic Site, Icmeler, Marmaris Castle, Aqua Park and Paradise Island.

For shopping, you can go shopping everyday but if you want to have great discount of prices up to 50% off, the best time of the year to buy is from last week of September to last week of October. This is the season where most shop owners make inventory of their annual sales and put down the prices to get instant cash sales for their rentals, salaries and taxes. Have a great time in this city and enjoy the rich beauty of nature.

As you easily will understand, Marmaris is the place to be in Turkey. The sun is sizzling so do not get an outrageous tan.

Alanya is one of the major resorts in the Mediterranean Sea and is called to as the seaside resort city because of the long beaches in the place. It is found in the district of Antalya Province and is about 120 kilometers away from Antalya City. It was first called Coracesium in Latin or Korakesion in Greek originating from Luwian Korakassa which means point/protruding city. It then named as Kalonoros during the Byzantine Empire which means beautiful mountain. Thence, the Seljuks renamed it as Alaiye gotten from the name of Sultan `Ala’ ad-Din Kay-Qubad until, finally, Mustafa Kemal AtatÜrk named it Alanya in 1935.

The main attractions in this area are the gentle climate, great port, near distance to Konya which is the capital of Seljuk, and of course the warm waters in the long sand beaches. Some of the must-visit destinations in this place are Seljuk Turkish, Seljuk Kızılkule, Tersane, and Damlatas Cave. Alanya has significantly developed during the past years and now proudly has population of 250,000 and even doubled during summer where many tourists come to the place. Numbers of visitors coming to this seaside resort city fly with special cheap vacation packages to Antalya airport and then take bus to Alanya. Its nearby cities are Antalya (81.2 miles), Kemer (89.5 miles), Belek (59.3 miles), and Manavgat (54.6 miles).

If you travel with your kids, try to visit Ethnographic Museum which is open from Tuesday to Sunday (8:30am – 6pm) for just $1 and also the Alanya Museum which is open daily from 9am until noon and 1:30 pm to 6:30pm for $1 too. There are affordable apartments with clean rooms where you could stay and lots of variants of tasty foods which you could select from. Most of the tourist destinations are accessible and transportations are not a problem. If you opt for a hotel, there are many options you could take just like Hotel Ozkaymak, Hotel Grand Okan, Syedra Princess Hotel, Ananas Hotel, MARITIM Hotel Club Alantur, Allstar Sunshine Hotel, Eftalia Aytur Hotel, Riviera Hotel, Obakoy Hotel, and a lot more. Indeed, accommodation in Alanya is not a problem and wherever you choose to stay, you would probably enjoy overlooking the beauty of the city.

For family or group getaway, lead on to Alanya Cruise Port. Here, you will surely be fascinated with the rich beauty of nature as you embrace the rich culture, history and hospitality of Turkish. There are many holiday destinations in Alanya where you could visit. Enjoy your summer vacation with great moments relaxing in the beach, playing volleyball, trying banana boat, parasailing, jet skiing, diving, rafting, sea kayaking and a lot more. You may also go hiking and mountain trekking or ravine climbing.

The climate is so perfect for outdoor fun and activities because the sun usually shines the whole day through; so definitely, you can do all the fun activities you plan to. For people who love nightlife, there are pretty sure lots of places and you could stop until you drop. As to the food, Turkey kitchen has been nominated to be the third best in the whole world, so, definitely, you know what it means — surely, the food and meals are adorable. Don’t wait too long! Spend your summer vacation soon in the seaside resort city.

Florida is known for its great beaches, amusement parks for every taste and ocean side resorts. In fact, Florida beaches have been listed in the top ten beaches in the United States every year. Caladesi Island State Park beach was named number one in 2008 and in 2005 the north beach of Ft. DeSoto Park took the honors, both of these located in the Tampa Bay area.

But there is another side of the Sunshine State that many tourists rarely see. Not far from the white sand beaches, in the interior, lies the quiet beauty of wetlands and rivers, some so clear you can see the bottom. Lining the banks are cypress trees with Spanish moss draped from their limbs. Hammocks (dry oases of land) arise from the surrounding river of grass. Uplands are alive with a variety of wildlife and prairie grass.

One such destination lies just down the road from the sponge docks of Tarpon Springs and is an easy drive from Tampa or the beaches of St. Petersburg and Clearwater.

An area of 9,800 acres has been set aside for protection of the wildlife and the watershed, which is the source of water for Pinellas County. This is the Brooker Creek Preserve, which gets its name from the creek that flows through the preserve and into Lake Tarpon. This is a preserve and not a park. A ranger once explained to me the difference between a park and a preserve. “In a park, if a critter interrupts your picnic, the animal will be removed; in a preserve you will be removed.” Though I doubt they would ask you to leave, they will ask you to move.

Brooker Creek Preserve is an excellent example of preservation of the natural habitat and plant life in the Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties area. The preserve contains both uplands and wetland areas in their natural state. Over four miles of trails circle the preserve and enter into each of these regions. During the rainy season some trails may be closed if they become flooded.

The main entrance to Brooker Creek is located at 3940 Keystone Road in Pinellas County and is an easy drive east from Tarpon Springs Florida. Entering the preserve, watch carefully and you may see deer grazing along the sides of the road or coyotes that inhabit the preserve.

The trail head is located south of the main parking lot. There are numerous trails of varying length that are a fairly easy hike.

After hiking the trails, I would recommend a visit to the Visitor Center, which includes the park headquarters, art gallery and museum. The center consists of three buildings constructed on stilts so as to not disturb the surrounding wetlands. Access is by a raised boardwalk, allowing you to view the natural environment and wildlife. Inside the main building is an observation window with rocking chairs, a good place to kick back and take in the scenery. The museum also provides a play area/education center for the children and an educational film about the preserve. The preserve offers a multitude of guided hikes and other programs for both adults and children. Just check their website.

For those who are a little more adventurous, there are several other entrances into the park. Driving west toward Tarpon Springs from the main entrance of the preserve, you would turn left onto Lora Lane. At the dead end you will find an access to another trail. This entrance is shared by hikers and equine visitors, the horse trail’s entrance is to the left and hikers enter to the right along a branch of the Brooker Creek. If early enough, you will usually be greeted by a small herd of deer. Along the trail there is an observation deck overlooking the prairie grass plain.

Deer, hawks and the occasional bald eagle can often be spotted. This trail can be very wet, so dress to get wet. I have seen it covered in over a foot of water in spots, during the rainy season (May through November). During the summer months it is good idea to carry mosquito repellent and use it liberally. This is an area that gives you an idea of the conditions endured by the Native Americans and early settlers.

Another entrance into the Preserve is located in Hillsborough County. Drive east from the main preserve entrance on Keystone Road into Hillsborough County, where Keystone Road becomes Tarpon Springs Road; turn right at the dead end of Tarpon Springs Road onto Gunn Highway. Gunn Highway will lead you to Van Dyke road where you will turn left and then watch for Rumble Wood Road. Along the left side of the road is a parking lot and entrance to another part of the Preserve. This section of preserve is all upland habitats, with pines, woodland and saw palmettos.

If you need food or drinks on your way to or from the Hillsborough entrance, Keystone Corner Cafe is located on Tarpon Springs Road. They offer handmade sandwiches, some of the best pizzas in the area, soda and beer. Another treat is their homemade ice cream. Outside seating under a covered patio is available and I would highly recommend a stop here.

It is Florida as few visitors have seen it and I would recommend a visit to this natural wonder when you visit the St. Petersburg and Tampa area.

Going to the beach is always fun. It doesn’t really matter what the weather is (other than maybe a hurricane), the sound of the waves, fresh air, and dramatic views are always worth the trip. But it’s always a good idea to take along some basic first aid items just in case you have more of an adventure than you planned. You should also be aware of possible dangers and exercise caution.

The first thing to consider is the effects of the heat and Sun. Even on a cloudy and cool day you can still get a pretty good sunburn. Wearing a hat and light clothing is a good idea for long stays. Applying a sunscreen lotion of at least SPF 15 or more to any exposed areas will help too. Always bring non-alcoholic beverages, water being the best, and drink often to avoid dehydration and heat stroke. Sugar and caffeine drinks are not a substitute for water.

Know the local Beach Flag system. Most public beaches fly flags of different colors to designate current conditions of air, weather, and water quality. Here are the common colors and what they represent:

Orange – Air or water quality is poor.

Blue – Dangerous marine life is present or been spotted (jellyfish, sharks, stingrays, etc.)

Red – Strong waves and currents present, stay out of deep water (over waist deep).

Yellow – Some strong waves and currents, caution advised.

Green – Fair conditions and water calm.

If you go in the water, never swim alone. If possible, always swim where lifeguards are on duty. Wear some kind of beach or water footgear to protect against metal, glass, or other dangerous items on the beach or in the water. Both manmade and natural shells items can have sharp edges and cause problems. Make sure you have a good disinfectant (alcohol swaps will do), some plain water to flush the area, and some type of band-aids or coverings to protect against any possible contamination. If bleeding is hard to stop or the cut is deep, immediately seek medical attention.

Never underestimate the water conditions, currents and wave action. Waves and undercurrent can surprise anyone, especially the young and elderly.

Swimming in the ocean is not like a swimming pool. Always take some kind of coast guard approved flotation devices along just in case. A swimmer in trouble can panic and be difficult to save even for the most experienced swimmer. Stay calm and be aware of your own limitations before you try and save someone. A quality flotation device and 15-20 ft of rope can make a huge difference in any emergency.

Another threat when in the water is the possibility of dangerous marine life. Jellyfish come in many variations, some dangerous, and some harmless. The Portuguese man-of-war is dangerous and often floats near the surface. If you see them washed up on shore, it’s a sign they are in the area and going in the water is not a good idea. Even when they are out of the water the tentacles can still be able to inflict stings and toxins that will be painful. If you come into contact with a tentacle, wash area off with saltwater first. Do not use vinegar, meat tenderizer, baking soda, or alcohol. None of those will help. Most minor stings will stop hurting in 15-20 minutes with little or no treatment other than flushing with clean saltwater. If any breathing difficulty occurs or changes in awareness, it’s possible an allergic reaction is happening and you should treat it as a serious medical emergency. Benadryl is good to have along and can greatly reduce the allergic reaction but medical treatment may still be warranted. It really depends on the amount of areas that contacted the tentacles and the individual’s resistance to the toxins. If in doubt at all, immediately seek medical treatment. If a itching or a rash develops after the sting, a hydrocortisone cr

Here are my top 5 reasons to why you should book your holiday in Ayia Napa next summer.

To enjoy Ayia Napa’s great nightlife, fabulous bars and restaurants; but also because it has a lovely city and flourishing holiday resort. The huge stretch of golden beaches, with cool Mediterranean Sea, makes a perfect setting for sun bathing.

Argument 1: The busy harbor front is dotted with some of the finest bars and restaurants, which allows one to relax and enjoy a beer while watching the boats reach. The Ayia Napa harbor has a small fleet of fishing boats, so if one is a mood to have fresh sea food, there is always the option open. One can avail of the services of the boats to have a trip around the sea, or even hire a catamaran and sail around the open sea. For those who want to watch the sea life, the option of hiring a semi Submersible – yellow submarine is always there. These are quit reasonable priced.

Argument 2: Another must visit destination is the Nissi beach that is about 2 Kms alongside the coast from the Ayia Napa harbor region. Nissi Beach is famous for being one of the most sexy beaches in the Med. One has the option of taking a short bus ride or even takes a relaxed move. The path along the main route is lined with bars and shops. The Nisi beach region is just about a resort with an attractive golden beach facade by a number of restaurants, bars and shops. There is plenty of activity available to attract the youngsters such as bungee jumping and water sports. One more wonderful event, which is hosted often here, is known as foam party it is a great enjoyment for every age group.

Argument 3: Fancy a bit of adrenaline and thrill seeking during your holiday? -The Ayia Napa Water Park is another major attraction; it has succeeded many major European awards for security and is the most popular and the largest in entire Europe. The park is efficient, clean and well organized. The staff is very professional and curious, and the games available are amazing. They give an exhausting and fun filled day out for old or young alike. There is great for all age groups from kids to toughened water park freaks.

Argument 4: -The most famous reason for Ayia Napa popularity is its legendary nightlife. And also the famous clubs like seignior frogs and the ministry of sound. One must visit the “the square” that is house of almost top clubs and can party till early morning, and later have breakfast in any cafe bars around the district.

Argument 5: Finally, for the mountaineering lover there is the very attractive Kyrenia mountain series also known as Five Finger Mountains that you can see parallel to the coast line. The entire mountain series 130km long but because of it being so slim, the entire range calculates near about 260 sq Km. The concerto of the series is mostly marble and dolomite, limestone, and you will be capable of raise some of them as souvenirs.

Ayia Napa Truth is a honest travel guide which spills all the dirty little secrets of the Cyprus resort. You can save a lot of trouble and money if you visit the premier Ayia Napa guide before you book your tickets to Napa.

The Beaches of Florida are worldwide known as one of the best vacation destinations in the entire world and are with that, the most incredible holiday-trip travel spots for every Beach Lover. The gorgeous sunshine, the perfect climate, and the always sparkling smooth sand, together with swaying palms and fantastic blue and green water, gives vacationers every year again an unforgettable holiday experience.

Swimming, surfing and parasailing, as well having the same big fun with sunbathing, boating, snorkeling and scuba diving are exclusively the adventures, you will experience on a day to day basis. On quite some beaches you can dive down to old sunken ships and treasures, experience colorful ocean grounds and exotic fish. There are always lots of things, you can do. Rent a boat and go and sunbathe somewhere with your family, or celebrate a wonderful picnic somewhere under the palms. The Hotel Rooms are very affordable, many are accepting pets.

But beside all the water fun and beach experience, there are also cozy restaurants, shopping areas, movie theaters and local fun family activities, which you can use anyways. Many Beach areas are near to each other, so you can visit as often as you want to a different location. Sometimes it’s really not difficult with your car, to come to a complete different environment. And that can give lots of more fun and variety to your family trip.

Several beach areas have the opportunity, that you can very easily do a short visit to Orlando or Tampa, as well to similar, other famous locations, where the fun-featuring worldwide known family attractions like Sea World, Disney World, Bush Gardens and Cape Canaveral can give you and your loved ones a big boost for a memorable time together.

In some areas you will spot endorable dolphins and close coming manatees, and you can play with them all day long. Also getting into the country is one of the most exciting adventures in many beach areas. Local vegetation and many types of wild animals are also a perfect reason for more variety. There a certain areas full of nature and packed with exotic animals, you wouldn’t think, finding all that here in Florida. Kids can really enjoy themselves, getting toured through the woods and seeing all the wild life over there.

Once again surfing, or playing with some diving equipment or steering a rented boat or yacht, is not a problem at all. You will be entertained on the beach all the time of your stay. And the exotic climate and vegetation is another component for some new and superb feelings.

Specially all these ideal components together are for families the complete solution for an affordable vacation. From deeply experiencing this exotic environment and living through personal adventures with lots of creation all day long, exists such a variety of possibilities, that everybody in the family on the beach will be completely satisfied. And afterwards is still much more to explore, like movies, disco, TV, or even a close fine restaurant, where everybody can be relaxed enjoying a different menu than at home.

Thomas Lechner loves selling travel opportunities all over the world. But he specially enjoys offering the Beaches of Florida, because of their unique variety of things to do and the great relaxation for families. The Best Beaches Of Florida City-Traveling / More Travel

Jacksonville is one of my favorite cities in Florida because while it is very cosmopolitan it still has the same laid back feel as the rest of Florida. Jacksonville is the first major city in the Sunshine State, just 25 miles inside the boarder from Georgia. It’s the county seat of Duval County and is constantly in a fight with Miami for ranking as Florida’s largest city; it was named for Andrew Jackson who was the first military governor of the Florida territory.

Jacksonville is a major banking, financial and transportation hub which gives it that hip edge, as does the beautiful architecture of the city. The laid back Florida feel comes from the St. John’s River that runs almost through the middle of the city which is nice because you can see boats, both private and commercial; floating along from a window should you work in a high rise office in some downtown building. There is also the beautiful Blue Bridge that spans the river in the downtown area near the popular shopping; dining and night spot Jacksonville Landing. Jacksonville is also home to the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars football team, when they have a good season they are quite a draw. On game day the stadium downtown has a big tailgating crowd partying until the final whistle blows. Jacksonville is becoming a major vacation destination too with the help of nearby, Amelia Island.

Jacksonville is becoming major player in the financial field and in other industries; in Expansion Management Magazine’s annual poll, Jacksonville has been consistently rated one of the “Hottest Cities in America” for business expansions and relocations. It’s been the only city to have taken the number one spot three times, and has been in the top 10 for six straight years. Inc. Magazine ranked Jacksonville 11th on its list of “Best Cities for Doing Business” in 2006.

The city has a great skyline, the Wachovia and Sun Trust buildings are very prominent in it; the unique design of the Modis building is very eye catching and adds to the skylines architectural character. Jacksonville itself is beautiful; they have parks with palm trees dotted here and there all over. The Friendship Fountain at the Museum of Science and History is another example of the city’s beauty.

The St. John’s River is a vital part of Jacksonville commercially as well as leisurely. The Port of Jacksonville is a major seaport for cargo and cruise ships as well as the Mayport Ferry, a ferry that takes cars and people across the river. The railways are also a big part of the transportation hub here, they work their way through Jacksonville picking up people and goods for deposit all over the country.

The St. John’s River is also a favorite place for the people of Jacksonville to spend a day, sailing, fishing or roaming up and down on their jet ski. If you don’t have a boat or water craft follow the crowd to Huguenot Memorial Park. On sunny weekends this place gets full to capacity. You can park right on the beach, in the surf, here which many people do. You’ll see cars and trucks all lined up with their tailgates down, dogs tied up to the back , music playing, food spilling put of coolers, footballs and Frisbees flying through the air and as of that wasn’t enough, the ocean. It’s a great place for a family to spend a day.

Just off the coast of northeast Florida mere miles from the boarder with Georgia is fabulous Amelia Island. 15 minutes off I-95 and 20 minutes from northern Jacksonville, this island has 13 miles of beautiful beaches, including Fernandina Beach and in 2008, Conde Nast Traveler’s reader’s voted it number 6 in the Top 10 North American Islands in their Reader’s Choice Awards. This was the second consecutive year Amelia Island has been the highest ranked island destination in Florida and in this state, that’s saying something. Amelia Island has world class resorts and spas, quaint bed and breakfast inns, and many other places to stay. While there you can explore historic Fort Clinch or catch one of the many local festivals and events. If you’re an outdoor enthusiast you can enjoy pristine golf courses, hiking, biking, fishing, kayaking horseback riding on the beach or take a sunset sail.

Jacksonville is a great city to visit, live, to start or relocate a business or just spend a day. The architecture, landscaping and river make this one Florida’s most beautiful cities. They have sports, a great downtown area, an excellent transit system, museums, parks and a fantastic little island just off the coast what more could a person ask for, Jacksonville truly has it all.

The largest city in Florida is Jacksonville, and the beautiful coastline make Jacksonville Beach a favorite for travelers all over the southeast.
