Marmaris is one of the biggest cities in the whole country of Turkey. It was previously known as Physkos located where Aegean and Mediterranean seas meet, on the largest natural harbour of the world. It lies in the Mugla Province, Southwest Turkey surrounded by pine-clad hills, calming sea and captivating bays. Gokova Gulf is found in its north, Mediterranean in the south, Datca Peninsula in the west, and Koycegiz Lake in the east.
