In France you will find the city of Ajaccio. This city is located in the prefecture of the department of Corse-du-Sud in the Corsican region. The city is considered to be the capital of the region. The city can be found on the west coast of Corsica. It is 210 miles southeast of Marseille. The city lies in a sheltered area at the foot of some wooded hills that can be seen on the northern shore of the Gulf of Ajaccio.
